Trauma Informed Therapy. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to treat trauma-related concerns. My areas of specialization include trauma, PTSD, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. Treatment addresses unresolved trauma, trauma triggers, feelings of abandonment, guilt, and associated emotional distress.

Elda Othello Wrightington

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Elda earned her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2011 and has over a decade of experience providing psychotherapy to children, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. She became a licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2019.

Elda utilizes a compassionate, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach to treatment. She recognizes the family as a foundational influence in emotional development and understands how early experiences shape self-perception and interpersonal relationships. Her counseling style is eclectic and collaborative, with treatment tailored to each client’s unique needs. Elda emphasizes a strengths-based framework to support healing, coping skill development, and adaptive responses to trauma-related stressors, helping individuals, couples and families move toward healthier and more fulfilling lives.
